Obviously I want Tip’d to be the top social news site in the business/finance vertical (judging by Compete.com, we already are), but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for other financial social media communities. In fact, several others launched well before Tip’d did, and continue on with lively communities in their own specific niche. Here are the best ones I’ve run across:
- Clusterstock (Community Stories section): has a heavy focus on tech stocks (like its parent site, Silicon Alley Insider)
- FeedtheBull: has a day trader / Wall Street feel
- Motley Fool CAPS: shows news about single stocks (thus the name CAPS)
- PFBuzz: news and tips on personal finance
- ValueInvestingNews: the name is self-explanatory
If you’re a personal finance blogger, I would suggest submitting good posts to all of the above–some sites will send more traffic than others, of course, but it’s better to go popular at “3 for 5″ (or even “1 for 5″) than to go “0 for 1″ by submitting your post to only one finance social news site.
Anyone come across any other good financial / business social media sites (with sustainable communities)?

I’m honored to see you added my site Value Investing News to your select list of financial news sites. I’m sure many members of my community will also enjoy your site, Tip’d.
Thanks for the hat tip.
Thank you for mentioning PF Buzz. I wish I have the same kind of resources and success as Tip’d. You guys accomplished a lot in the past few months.
Were do you suggest posting for small business finance content?
