Hey everyone! Boy, does time fly! It was only a little while ago that we announced that Tip’d had come out of beta and turned 1.0. Four months later we’re already marching into our next big release: Tip’d 2.0. In the intervening months we’ve hit several more milestones in terms of inbound and outbound traffic, user registration growth, and activity on the site in terms of daily submissions, votes, and comments. Well, we’ve hit another major milestone: just moments ago, we reached 5,000 members. Not bad for roughly four months since our public launch, eh?
What better way to celebrate this milestone than by encouraging even more member signups? That’s why last week, we launched our Tip’d inviter tool. Using this tool, logged in users can invite their contacts from Web-based e-mail and social networking services to join Tip’d. The tool can automatically import your contacts from Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, and other services; then simply select the contacts that you would like an invite e-mail sent to, and we take care of the rest. Give it a try if you haven’t already. The race to 10,000 members has just begun!
